Description

The village cross, located to the northwest of the Church of St Martin, is probably of early Medieval origin and is constructed from limestone. It features a large square plinth with a worn hollow-chamfered top, leading to two square steps that support the chamfered base of the cross. The cylindrical shaft has a beaded top and is topped with a ball finial. This structure is also designated as a Scheduled Ancient Monument, Wiltshire No 401.
