Description

Dragon Cottage is a Grade II listed building that consists of two cottages now combined into one. It dates back to the 18th century, with rebuilding dates noted on the datestone at the front, indicating HP/1831 and KW/1972. The structure is built of dressed limestone, brick, and flint, topped with a thatched roof featuring gable end brick stacks.

The cottage is two storeys high and has three windows across the front. The central entrance features a 20th-century planked door set in a gabled porch, flanked by a blocked doorway and a three-light casement window on either side. On the first floor, there are three-light casement windows on either side of a two-light casement window. The left side of the building is windowless. The rear wall has an obtuse angle and includes three-light and two-light casement windows on both the ground and first floors.

Inside, the cottage features an open fireplace with a chamfered lintel supported by brick jambs, timber-framed partitions, and chamfered beams.
