Description
The Manor House is a detached house dating from the early 19th century. It is built of yellow brick in Flemish bond and features a hipped roof made of Welsh slate, with brick stacks at the gable ends. The house has a parallel range plan and is two storeys high with three windows across the front. The central entrance consists of a six-panelled door topped by an arched fanlight, framed by a pilastered surround, with 16-pane sash windows on either side. On the first floor, there are three 16-pane sash windows, and the building has projecting brick quoins and a moulded wooden eaves cornice. The right and left returns of the house have two-light casements and sashes. The rear service wing features two-light casements made of dressed limestone, while the rear of the main range has segmental-headed casements and a sash window. The interior was not accessible during the survey conducted in February 1986.
