Description

Primrose Farmhouse, now a detached house, dates to the 17th century. It is constructed of rubble stone with a half-hipped thatched roof and an axial brick stack. The farmhouse has a baffle entry plan and is two stories high with three windows. The central entrance is a planked door set within a trellised porch. To the left is a three-light casement with a keystone, while a two-light casement is situated in a blocked doorway. A blocked mullioned casement sits to the right, alongside a two-light hollow-chamfered mullioned casement. The raised eaves of the first floor contain a two-light casement and a pair of two-light casements. The right return side has a blocked wooden mullioned casement. At the rear of the property are a two-light and a three-light casement. The interior was inaccessible when the property was surveyed in February 1986.
