Description
Spring Cottage and Roseneath are a pair of cottages located at the end of a row on Hindon High Street, dating from the late 18th century. They are constructed of rendered brick with a tiled roof that has a hip to the right and a half-hip to the left, featuring brick stacks. The cottages are arranged in an L-plan and are two stories high with two windows. Spring Cottage has a planked door and two 2-light casement windows, while Roseneath has a 20th-century door and 2-light steel casement windows. The first floor includes both 2-light wooden and 2-light steel casements. The right side of the building has steel casements, and the rear wing features steel casements along with a flat-roofed 20th-century extension to Spring Cottage. The interior was not accessible during the survey in December 1985. The cottages are included in the listing primarily for their group value.
