Description

Says Cottages is a row of four cottages, now functioning as a pair, dating from the late 17th century and altered in the 19th century. The cottages are constructed of Flemish bond brick and feature a tiled roof with a half-hip on the right side, along with brick stacks. The building is two stories high and has seven windows. There are four planked doors, with No 23 featuring a 20th-century gabled porch. The ground floor includes five two-light casements and one single casement, while the first floor has seven two-light casements, two of which are steel casements. The attic is adorned with three hipped dormers, each containing two-light casements. Inside No 23, there are chamfered beams and an open fireplace with an elliptical brick arched lintel, along with planked doors.
