Description

Wyvern Cottage and Selby Cottage are a pair of 18th-century cottages located on the west side of Hindon High Street. They are constructed from dressed limestone and feature a tiled roof with an axial brick stack. The cottages are two stories high and have a total of four windows. Each cottage has a four-panelled door with a flat wooden hood, accessed by stone steps on either side, and two 3-light casement windows in the center. Wyvern Cottage also includes a planked door to the left. On the first floor, there are two 2-light casements and two 3-light casements. The rear of the cottages has lean-to extensions and additional casement windows. Inside, the cottages feature open fireplaces with timber lintels, planted doors, and winding stairs located against the stack.
