Description
This is a pair of early 18th-century cottages located on Tallington Road, near Barholm and Stowe. The cottages are constructed from coursed squared limestone rubble with ashlar quoins. They have a collyweston slate roof punctuated by two gable and two ridge brick stacks. The cottages are single-storied with attics, and have a six-bay front. Each cottage features a pair of four-panel doors, flanked by single three-light casement windows with timber lintels. Two hipped dormers are visible in the roof, each containing a two-light casement with rendered cheeks. The cottages have undergone alterations in the 20th century.
