Description
No 1 Pettridge Lane is a small house located at the end of a short row of buildings, dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed from coursed and squared limestone and features a Welsh slate roof. The house has two storeys and an attic, with two windows on the front. On the ground floor, there are three-light casements on the left side, while the first floor has two two-light glazing bar wood casements. The roof includes a small hipped dormer. There are brick stacks at the gable ends. At the back, there is a continuous one-storey lean-to that has two four-pane casements. Along with the adjoining property to the right, known as Hatherleigh, this house marks the limit of pre-20th century development on this edge of the town centre and remains externally unchanged.
