Description
No 19 Chapel Walk is a house located at the end of a terrace, dating from the late 18th century to early 19th century. It is constructed from random coursed rubble stone with flush quoins and features a stone slate roof. The house has an ashlar end stack on the left side of the front range.
The building consists of a double main range with two storeys and an attic, along with a single storey and attic rear lean-to wing. The front facade includes two 12-pane sash windows with renewed timber lintels, and a similar window on the ground floor to the right, positioned under a cambered stone arch.
The entrance door, located to the left, has six panels and is accessed by three rebuilt stone steps. The top two panels are glazed, the central two are fielded, and the lower two are flush with reeded edges and plain quadrant corners. Above the door is a shallow transom light, and a plain stone flat hood supported by curved brackets, although the front edge of the hood is missing.
There is a central raking dormer through the eaves that features replaced paired 6-pane casements. The right-hand return of the building has blocked openings on the front range, while the rear range has similar sash windows in plain stone surrounds.
