SOPWORTH THE STREET, (west side) Barn to the west of Ivy House Farmhouse

GV II

Barn and attached stable range. Early C19. Squared and coursed rubble with dressed stone to midstrey jambs, wooden lintels, plank doors and gates, stone slate roofs. Barn cruciform in plan with east and west midstreys; stable range set at right-angles forming L-shaped complex. Hipped roofs to midstreys, lean-to shed to left of east midstrey and hipped roof to stable range east end. Interior. Through-purlin, tie-beam roof structure with king posts.
