Description

Former Manor House, now divided into three separate dwellings, dating to circa 1700 with an addition of circa 1840 and further substantial additions in the early 20th century. The construction is of squared and coursed rubble with ashlar dressings to the 20th-century ranges; the earlier blocks have ashlar. The roofs are stone slate, hipped to the 1700 block, and gabled to the remaining portions. The building has an irregular L-shaped plan, with the south-facing block of 1700, a service range of circa 1840 to the left, and 20th-century additions to the rear. It has two storeys and an attic, and the south front has seven bays. The windows are 12-pane sashes within moulded architraves. The central doorway features a bolection surround and a shell hood supported on carved brackets. Architectural details include a moulded plinth, a platband linking the ground floor windows, a first-floor string course, a second-floor platband, a coved cornice, and three hipped dormers. The rear wings, added in the 20th century, are in a Cotswold vernacular style with cross-mullion windows under hoodmolds within gables. There are tall early 20th-century stone stacks. The interior is inaccessible.
