Description
North End Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the 17th century, with alterations made in the late 19th century. The south front features coursed rubble, while the east facade is rendered with stone dressings, wooden lintels, and barge boards. The building has gabled stone slate roofs and four tall ashlar stacks. It has an L-shaped plan, with the main range set at right angles to the road. The south front is two storeys high and has three windows, with tall gables at each end and a smaller gabled window in the roof between. The 19th-century windows are two and three-light casements. There is a central gabled porch offset to the right, with latticework on the sides and an ornamental barge board, leading to a plank door. The three south stacks are adorned with moulded caps and bases.
