Description
Old Manor House is a detached house dating from around 1700, with alterations and additions made around 1840. It features colourwashed render with rusticated stone quoins, ashlar dressings, and a gabled roof that has slate on the southeast side and stone slate on the northwest side, along with end rendered stacks. The house is two stories tall with a five-bay front facing southeast. All the windows have flat section ovolo-moulded cross mullions and small pane casements. The central doorway has panelled jambs and a bolection architrave, topped with a flat hood supported by carved brackets, and features a four-raised-and-fielded panel door with four top glazed lights. The exterior includes a moulded plinth course, a continuous string course at the first floor, and a coved cornice. The rear of the house shows 1840 additions that encase the original staircase tower. The interior is reportedly inaccessible but is said to contain the original staircase and panelling in the ground floor rooms.
