Description
Field Barn is a late 18th-century barn constructed of squared and coursed rubble, featuring flush rusticated dressed stone quoins and dressed stone at the midstrey jambs. The barn has a gabled double Roman tile roof and a cruciform plan, with north and south midstreys that have half-hipped roofs. The entrance is blank, and there are ventilation slits on all walls, along with a shelter shed outshut at the southeast corner. Inside, the barn has a through-purlin, collar and tie-beam roof structure supported by queen struts.
