Description

The building is an L-shaped range consisting of a main barn and a probable stable range at right angles, both sharing the same ridge line. Constructed from stone rubble, part of it is limewashed, and it features Welsh slate roofs. The barn has eight bays, with a hipped roof at the downhill end, a single tier of ventilation slits, and two slits at the gable end, along with a triangular hole at the apex. There are two pairs of high boarded double doors with shallow porches that have gabled roofs, heavy timber lintels, and weatherboarding on the north side, resting on side piers. Additionally, there are low stone lean-to extensions with ventilation slits on both sides.

The attached range, which has a datestone from 1777, includes a blocked carriage arch and an altered door on the side facing the house, as well as a pitching door in the gable end. To the north, there is a small stone building that is now derelict, which may have been a former house.

Inside the barn, there are pegged trusses featuring collar and tie beams, along with stone threshing floors. The stable range contains loose boxes with mangers, pitching gaps from the hayloft above, some boarded partitions, and a stone floor.
