Description
Wayside is a house and shop located on Burbage High Street. It dates from the 19th century and features roughcast exterior, likely built on a timber frame, with a thatched roof. The building is two storeys tall and has an 'L'-shaped plan. The forward section on the left contains the shop and includes a flat-roofed extension along the south side. The entrance to the house is situated in the re-entrant angle, featuring a 20th-century door with a lean-to porch. There is a 19th-century canted bay window on the right parlour, with two flush paned dormers above. The forward wing has a hipped roof and two flush dormers on the south side, which sit over the roof of the extension.
