Description
The Old Post Office is a 17th-century cottage located in Easton Royal. It features a timber frame with colourwashed brick noggings and a tiled roof that has replaced the original thatch. The building is single storey with an attic and consists of two bays, with a third bay added at the south end during the late 19th to early 20th century, along with a 20th-century kitchen extension at the rear, which now serves as the main entrance. The original structure includes a living hall with a gable stack and a narrower inner room to the north. The framing consists of three panels high with corner braces on high brick sills. A 20th-century entrance porch has been added, and there are late 20th-century leaded windows. The front features one gable dormer, and the stack has been rebuilt, with the roof half hipped on the right gable.
