Description

Little Thatch is a 17th-century cottage located on Harris Lane in Easton Royal. The building is primarily timber framed but has been partially replaced with brick over time and features a thatched roof. It is a single storey with an attic and was originally composed of two bays, which included a heated living hall and an inner room. There is a two-bay extension on the left, likely an original outbuilding, where the timber framing has been replaced by brick. The entrance is now situated in this extension, featuring a boarded door with a paned light set in a framed opening. The ground floor has timber casement windows, along with one 18th or early 19th century small paned window with an iron casement and two similar windows in three flush dormers. A gable stack and an additional stack have been added to the gable of the extension.
