Description

This is a cottage located immediately south of the Old Post Office (Number 50) in Easton Royal. It dates from the 18th century or early 19th century and is constructed of whitewashed brick with a thatched roof. The building has two storeys and consists of two bays, with an outshut at the rear that follows the slope of the roof. The entrance is situated in the left bay, featuring a glazed porch and a boarded door. The cottage has 19th-century timber windows set in segmental-headed openings. Inside, there is a large stack on the rear wall of the left bay and a staircase located in the outshut. A 20th-century kitchen extension has been added to the left gable. At the time of the survey in March 1987, the cottage was not occupied.
