Description
The cottage at the rear of the Post Office is a building from the late 17th century to early 18th century. It is timber framed and plastered, topped with a red plain tiled roof and features a left gault brick chimney stack. The cottage has one storey and attics, with a segmental headed dormer. There are front and rear lean-to extensions, and the front lean-to has two 20th-century small paned casements. A 20th-century door is located on the left return. Inside, the frame is made of elm, and it has a side purlin roof. The north wing includes a 19th-century bakehouse with an oven. The cottage is arranged in an L shape, with an unlisted early 20th-century shop adjoining to the south.
