Description

Brick House is an 18th-century house located on Stambridge Road, Stambridge. It is constructed of red brick with red plain tiled double-range roofs and end chimney stacks on each range. The house features a parapet, a band below it, and a central band. It extends over two storeys, with attics and a basement. Two segmental-headed dormers light the attic space. The front elevation has a three-window range of tripartite small-paned vertically sliding sash windows, each with a gauged brick arch, except for the single-light window above the front door. A central six-panelled door is framed by fluted pilasters with capitals and bases, and is topped by tracery to a rectangular fanlight and a semi-circular dentil-edged flat canopy. A step approach leads to the front door.
