Description

Rose Cottage is a late 16th century timber-framed house which was faced with brick in the 18th century. The house is constructed of painted brick with red plain tiled roofs and end chimney stacks. A later single-storey range of two bays was added to the left. On the right-hand side are two tie plates. The front has a 2:3 window range of small-paned vertically sliding sash windows. The central entrance features a 6-panel door within a brick surround and segmental arch. A rear lean-to has a 19th century gabled stair turret.
