Description
This is a house, dating from the 18th century or earlier. It is timber-framed with plaster-faced weatherboarding to the front and returns, and a plastered rear wing. The roofs are covered with red plain tiles. The front has two chimney stacks, a central stack to the rear range, and a moulded, dentilled eaves cornice. The building is two storeys with attics and a basement. There are three flat-headed dormers to the front range and two catslide dormers to the rear range. The front has a three-window facade with tripartite small-paned vertically sliding sash windows, except for a single first-floor window in the centre. Moulded canopies are above the windows. Basement windows are on the right and left. The rear range has three two-light casement windows. A central three-panel door is approached by steps, flanked by fluted pilasters with capitals and bases, a moulded frieze, and a moulded, dentilled pediment. A central door also exists in the rear range.
