Description
No. 3 South Street is a house, now used as offices, dating from the 18th century with 20th-century restorations. It is constructed of red brick and features a red plain tiled roof with parapet verges and chimney stacks on both the right and left sides. The building has two storeys and an eaves cornice. The façade includes a three-window range of tripartite small paned vertically sliding sashes with moulded surrounds and segmental heads, except for a central single light window on the first floor. The entrance is marked by a central six-panelled door with a fanlight that has rayed tracery, flanked by pilasters with moulded capitals and bases, and topped with a frieze and a moulded and dentilled pediment. This building is included for its group value.
