Description
No. 11 South Street is a house that has been converted into offices. It dates from the 18th century and has undergone restorations in the 20th century. The building is constructed of red brick and features a red plain tiled roof, with no chimney visible from the road. A parapet crowns the structure.
The façade includes a range of five vertically sliding sash windows with horns, and the first floor windows have small panes. The central entrance features a 20th-century five-panelled door set within a moulded surround that includes a keystone, topped by a moulded and dentilled open pediment supported by brackets. To the right, there is another doorcase with a moulded surround, pilasters, a decorated frieze, and brackets supporting a dentilled flat canopy, leading to a recessed panelled door. The building is included for its group value.
