Description
Thatch Cottage is a house that was formerly a village shop, likely built in the 18th century. It features colourwashed brick and a thatched roof. The building is two storeys high with two bays and has a central entrance, along with a single-storey extension on the left side. There is a 20th-century cross wing added to the right, extending beyond the former external gable stack. The entrance consists of a panelled door set within a heavy frame. The ground floor has three-light windows with paned casements and segmental brick arches, while the first floor features paned leaded windows. The left side has a steeply hipped roof with a 20th-century glazed door that was formerly part of the shop. A brick stack is present, and the 20th-century extension is not considered of special interest.
