Description

Upper Cross is a building that consists of two cottages, which have been combined into one house. It dates from the 17th century or early 18th century and is constructed of colourwashed brick with a thatched roof. The house is single storey with an attic and features four bays. There are boarded doors located in porches in bays 2 and 4, and a square bay window made of timber in bay 3. The windows are early 20th century timber. There are stacks located on the left gable and in bay 4, as well as an outshut at the rear. The building is situated in an important location within the village.
