Description

Crossroad Farmhouse, now a house, was built in the 17th century and is situated at right angles to Burbage Road in Easton Royal. The building is timber framed and clad in colourwashed brick, with a thatched roof. It is a single-storey and attic structure, originally consisting of three bays. It follows a lobby entry plan with an entrance on the east side. The timber framing is arranged in three panels high, featuring corner braces. The front door has six panels, with the upper panels glazed. Paned casement windows are present, and there is a flush dormer window in the centre bay on each side of the roof. The south gable has shaped bargeboards dating from the 19th century. The roof is half-hipped and includes an 18th-century brick stack. A pantiled extension was added to the north end, with 20th-century extensions to the east side.
