Description

Lower Farmhouse is a 17th-century farmhouse constructed with a timber frame and colourwashed brick noggings. It features a thatched roof and is a single storey with an attic, comprising four to five bays. There is a left extension of an additional two bays that has a pantiled roof. The layout follows a lobby entry plan, with a 19th-century six-panelled door set within an open porch that extends under the thatch. The left bay displays exposed timber framing, three panels high, raised on a stone sill. The windows are timber casements, and there are three flush dormers. The building has a central stack and another stack on the left gable. To the left of the door, there is a two-storey extension that is tile hung, along with an outshut along the right bays.
