Description

Arlington Cottage is a house in a row, dating from the 17th century and refaced in the 18th century. It is built of brick and has a thatched roof. The building has two storeys and three bays. Originally, it featured a central door, which has been replaced with a small canted oriel window that is also thatched. The main entrance is now located on the south side and includes a thatched canopy above a boarded door with a glazed panel. The cottage has 20th-century timber windows with applied leading and gauged brick lintels, each adorned with a triple faced stone keyblock. There is a plat band on the side elevation and a single-storey extension at the rear. Inside, there is an open fireplace with an oven, although it has not been seen.
