Description

The Cottage is an early 18th-century house that was altered in the 19th century. It is constructed of whitewashed brick with a thatched roof. The house is two storeys high and originally had two bays, with a lobby-entry plan, to which a third bay was later added on the right. A central brick porch with a slate roof and a 20th-century panelled door provides access. Two-storey square bay windows with paned glazing terminate in low-pitched gables. A roughcast extension features a single-storey square bay and a gable stack. The roof is three-quarter hipped on the left side. A tall main stack is present. A brick lean-to extension extends from the rear.
