Description
The Old Laundry at St Mary's School, formerly part of the Calne Workhouse, is a mid-19th century building now used as a store. It is constructed from squared, coursed limestone rubble and features a slate roof. The building is designed in a domestic Tudor Revival style and has an L-plan layout. It is a single-storey structure with a four-window range. On the right side, there is a projecting gabled wing with moulded kneelers and roll-topped coping. To the left of this wing, there is a recessed boarded door, and the transom windows have chamfered surrounds, with the second window from the left featuring a mullion and lattice glazing. The interior has not been inspected. The building shares a similar style with the former lodge to the workhouse located at No. 75.
