Description
This is a mid-18th century house, number 64, which was extended in the mid-19th century to form an attached pair with number 68. The roof was raised and the windows replaced in the mid-19th century. The building is constructed of limestone rubble, with squared and coursed limestone rubble and ashlar dressings. Number 68 has a brick gable and ridge stacks, and a slate and pantile roof. The layout consists of a single-depth plan with a rear service outshut. It is two storeys and an attic, with a 1:2-window frontage. Number 68 is double-fronted with a central door and quoins, while number 64 was added to the left and has a door on the right. The facade is in a Domestic Tudor style, featuring label moulds above the 20th-century doors and mullioned 2 and 3-light windows with chamfered stone surrounds and casements, as well as two gabled dormers. The interior of the building has been altered. Features of number 64 include an axial ground-floor beam and shutters.
