Description

This is a lime kiln located in the grounds of St Mary's School, dating from the early to mid-19th century. It is constructed from coursed limestone rubble with brick dressings and has a square plan with curved corners. The kiln features a semicircular charging arch and a conical kiln inside. There is a ramp at the rear, which has been altered at the top and is now filled with rubble.
