Description

The Paddock is a 17th-century cottage located on the west side of High Street in Burbage. It features a timber frame with colourwashed brick noggings and a thatched roof. The building is single storey with an attic and has a lobby entry plan, set gable end to the road. The framing consists of three panels high with straight corner braces. There is a framed boarded door leading to the stack bay, along with timber casement windows and leaded glazing in the flush dormers of each bay. An added single storey lean-to is present on the north side, under the continuation of the roof slope. A central brick stack completes the structure.
