Description

The William Salter memorial is a chest tomb located about 3 metres south of the north gates to the churchyard of the Church of St. Michael in Melksham. This memorial dates from the late 18th century and is made of limestone. It features a plinth with a central panel that is flanked by fielded pilasters and has grooved corners. At the top, there is a moulded cornice. The dates on the memorial are not legible.
