Description

No. 28 Church Street is a house that dates from the 16th century or earlier. It is timber-framed and partially rendered, with the left side having been refronted in rubble stone during the 18th century. The house has a stone slate roof and is two storeys high. The left side features flush quoins on the right and cyma-moulded recessed mullion windows, with one three-light window above and two two-light windows below a dripcourse, all fitted with leaded lights and one iron opening light. The right side has a rendered upper floor with a triple casement window, while the ground floor displays exposed framing and red brick infill, along with a pair of casement windows and a door. There is a stone slate pitched hood over the ground floor. The interior has not been inspected.
