Description

No 10 West Street is a house dating from the mid to later 18th century. It is constructed of coursed rubble stone with white lime joints and features ashlar dressings. The roof is made of stone slate and has end stacks. The building has a formal two-storey front with three windows, flush quoins, a raised plinth, a band, and an eaves band. On the first floor, there are paired 12-pane sash windows in beaded surrounds, with an arched-headed sash window in a beaded surround at the centre. The entrance features a six-panel door set in a raised moulded surround topped with a pediment supported by consoles.
