Description
Nos 12 and 12A on West Street are a pair of mid-17th century houses built from rubble stone, topped with a stone slate roof and featuring a central ridge stack. The buildings have a symmetrical two-storey front with seven windows, flush quoins, and chamfered recessed mullion windows. There is a dripcourse that steps up at each end. The central five-window range has the centre window on each floor blocked. The end bays have upper three-light windows, and the ground floor features a door in a chamfered surround, with a large pair of casement windows adjacent. The door is sheltered by a sloping stone slate hood with a dripcourse above it. An iron lamp bracket is located over the centre of the ground floor.
