Description

LACOCK CHURCH STREET ST 9168 (north side) 4/38 No 1 (Bridge House) 20.12.60 GV II

House, early C18 on earlier core, rubble stone with Bridgwater tile roof, large south end outside stack and north end stack. Two storeys and attic. East front has 2 dormers and irregularly spaced windows. First floor has three 2-light cavetto-moulded recessed mullion windows, the right window interrupting a stone dripcourse or shelf. Ground floor off-centre plank door in oak frame with single casement and casement pair to right. Lean-to on north end wall. South end wall has similar 2-light mullion window to main floors and attic. An oval light to left of stack. Rear, to road, has 5-window range of similar 2-light windows, first floor has 4 windows and one blocked window, ground floor has 3 mullion windows to right and 2 casement pairs to left. Interior not inspected.
