Description

Number 30 is a house built in the early to mid-19th century. It features limestone ashlar with rubblestone returns and has a slate gambrel roof, with ashlar stacks topped with brick at the gable ends. The house has a double-depth plan and includes a 20th-century two-storey lean-to on the right side.

The exterior is two storeys high with an attic and has a symmetrical three-window arrangement. There is an eaves band, a first-floor band, and a plinth. A flat hood supported by oversized brackets covers a six-panel door, which has 17th-century-style semicircular arches carved into the upper panels. This door is flanked by 8/8-pane sash windows, with the window above the door being semicircular-arched. At the centre of the eaves, there is a panelled parapet approximately 2 meters long, which fronts a raking dormer featuring a two-light casement window.

The interior has not been inspected. Attached to both front corners of the house are ashlar walls approximately 2 meters high, which slope down to about 1 meter high and meet pyramidal-capped piers at the street. To the right, the wall rises again and extends for approximately 20 meters.
