Description
This is a house located at 69 Marshfield Road in Chippenham, dating from the early to mid 19th century. It is constructed of painted limestone rubble, with freestone rusticated quoin on the left side, part of a plinth on the right, and ground-floor architraves. The roof is made of 20th-century concrete tiles. The house has a two-unit plan with a rear outshut and stands two storeys high with a two-window range. It features 19th-century plate-glass sash windows set in forward frames, with the first-floor windows positioned at eaves level. To the left, there is a set-back early 19th-century door with six flush panels and a cast-iron hand-and-wreath knocker. Attached to the left side is the remains of a party wall from a former building. The rear has a 20th-century door and windows. The interior has not been inspected.
