Description
This is a house located at 43 Blackwell End, dating from the late 17th century with alterations from the 18th and 20th centuries. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble that has been painted, featuring a thatched roof and brick stacks at each end. The house has two storeys and an attic, with a three-window range and a two-unit plan.
There is a blocked door to the left of the center and a 20th-century door with an overlight on the far right, both of which have wooden lintels. To the right of the center and far left, there are small one-light windows, also with wooden lintels. The ground and first floors have two-light casement windows with wooden lintels. A lead fire insurance plaque is located to the left of the central first-floor window. There is a 20th-century roof dormer and single-storey extensions to the right. The building has previously been used as two separate dwellings. The interior has not been inspected.
