Description
The Old Talbot Public House is a public house dated 1713, with 20th-century alterations. It is built of coursed limestone rubble and features a plain-tile roof with brick ridge and end stacks. The building is two stories high and has a five-window range with a three-unit plan. There is a 20th-century door to the left of the center and a six-panel door to the right of the center, both with wood lintels. The ground floor has three canted bay windows, and all windows and doors are covered by a continuous plain-tile hood. The first floor has two-light casement windows, except for a blocked window above the left door; all have wood lintels. A 20th-century dormer is present, and there is a datestone to the right of the central first-floor window inscribed "Lloyd/1713." The building features overhanging eaves, and the interior includes chamfered spine beams.
