Description
The Wesleyan Methodist Church, built in 1818, is an early 19th-century single-storey building with a basement at the southern end. It is constructed of ashlar stone and features a moulded cornice and a plain parapet, along with a plinth. The entrance is located on the west side and is accessed via a gravel path that runs north from Coppice Hill. The façade has six round-headed sash windows with plain reveals and intact glazing bars. In the center, there is a square projecting porch with a moulded entablature and a blocking course, supported at the outer corners by paired pilasters that flank the door. There is a moulded string course and plinth, with a round-headed window on each side of the porch. The entrance consists of double wooden doors, each with three panels and a rectangular fanlight above. This building was formerly used as a Methodist Sunday School. The church is part of a group that includes Nos 9 to 12 (consecutive), Nos 14 to 16 (consecutive), and Nos 19 to 25 (consecutive), along with the wall and gates.
