Description
The Methodist Church, dated 1811, is a two-storey building constructed of buff brick with stone dressings. It features a central pediment and a stringcourse. The façade includes five round-headed sash windows, with the three central windows recessed. On the ground floor, there is a central Roman Doric porch that has an eight-panelled door and a semi-circular fanlight, accessed by two stone steps. The side elevation is also brick and has two rows of five round-headed sash windows, some of which were altered later in the 19th century. Inside, the church retains its semi-circular gallery. This building forms a group with the Forecourt to the Methodist Church and also with Nos 49 to 60 (consecutive).
