Description
The Stony Stratford Methodist Church and Church Hall, built in 1845, features a gable end facing southwest onto Silver Street. The façade includes two tall round-headed windows flanking a central entrance, which is accentuated by a projecting porch supported by renewed piers beneath a Doric entablature. The building is constructed of brick with a stone plinth and a band at the impost level that continues around the heads of the windows, which have bracketed sills. There is a two-storey return to the northwest with four windows on the first floor and three on the ground floor, all of which are glazing bar sashes with stone heads, keys, and sills. The later church hall, built around 1900, is also brick built and features two gables on the southeast side, with toothed brickwork in the gables forming open pediments.
