Description
At the south end of the pathway leading to the former Wesleyan Methodist Church, there is a set of four gates dating from the early to mid-19th century. These gates are made of wrought iron and feature double gates in the center with single gates on each side. All the gates have curved tops and transoms, incorporating spear and urn motifs. The double gates are flanked by two trellised gatepiers that support two scrolled lamp-brackets above the center gates. This group of gates, along with Nos 9 to 12, Nos 14 to 16, and Nos 19 to 23 on Coppice Hill, as well as the former Wesleyan Methodist Church and its wall, form a cohesive architectural group.
