Description
This is a cart shed dating from the mid-18th century, located to the northeast of Witherington Farmhouse. The structure features weatherboarding on a timber frame for the rear and side walls, and it has a hipped thatched roof. It consists of six bays, with an open front that includes curved bracing to the wall plate from the posts. The roof is supported by a tie-beam, which has bracing, along with raking struts to the cover and clasped butt purlins.
